This ordinance in the Colorado Springs City code has been weaponized against queer people and queer expression since the 1800's, as late as 1990.

Origins?

This has been a part of the city ordinance since at least 1884, based on archived issues of the Gazette.

- As early as 1884, at least. It is included in the Gazette when they published the city's revised ordinances.
