Jack Baker
A nationally-known activist in the gay liberation movement who supported the efforts of Colorado College students attempting to charter a campus chapter of the Gay Liberation Front of Colorado Springs. [1]
Baker studied law at the University of Minnesota.
Baker made national news 2 years prior when he attempted to get a marriage license at Minneapolis City Hall. The city refused the application, stating "To give these two people a marriage license would destroy the nuclear family as we know it today."
In response, Mike McConnell adopted Baker, allowing Baker to take on his last name. Jack Baker then changed his name to Pat Lyn O'Connell.
