Southern Colorado Health Network
Formerly known as the Southern Colorado AIDS Project (S-CAP), an organization that arose to address the growing issue of AIDS Epidemic in the 1980s.
1980s
Temporarily had a free office at the Myron Stratton home, but were asked to leave in 1988. The Myron Stratton home did not give a reason why. [1]
By January, 1988, the organization was hosting regular meetings at the Sacred Heart Auxilliary Building. [2]
In the late 80's, S-CAP also opened a Pueblo location, titled the Pueblo AIDS Coalition (PAC).[3]
On August 12, 1989, the organization sponsored "Staying Well: A Health Symposium for Gay and Lesbian People" at All Souls Unitarian Church featuring keynote speaker Rev. Stephen Pieters, who was diagnosed with AIDS in 1984.
