First started in 1991. Initially organized by the The Pikes Peak Gay & Lesbian Community Center. Is currently organized by a dedicated organization.

"The Musicfest idea was born 2 years ago in a motel bar at Wiminfest in Albuquerque. Carolyn Cathey, Julia McKay, Nikki Spears, and Ginger Boston were Sipping Coronas and dreaming of a time when there would be a space for Colorado Springs GLBT Community to hear the music of home grown artists.
Our dreams came true with a lot of hard work and dedication from many volunteers.
